In order to graduate with a bachelor's degree in the United States, students generally spend four years of studies in a  college or university (" College" and " University" are used interchangeably). Regardless of the University they go to,  or the major they pursue, the first two years of studies are typically the same general education classes in which students  choose from a wide variety of courses. Broward Community College's Degree/Diploma program offered through  the Center for American Education gives students an option to complete their general education classes in Singapore and  then  transfer to the U.S. for the third and fourth year of the bachelor's degree.

To graduate with an A.A. degree, students must complete 60 semester hours of academic credit with a grade of point  average of at least 2.0. In selecting courses, students should consider specific programmatic requirements of the upper  level institution to which they intend to transfer.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Graduate 
• TOEFL score of 173 (computer-based) or 500 (paper-based) or IELTS 5.0 for students whose first language is not    English
• Placement tests in English and Math
• SAT not required
